Direct Primary Care (DPC) FAQ

What is Direct Primary Care (DPC)?

Direct Primary Care is a healthcare model where patients pay a flat monthly membership fee directly to their provider for unlimited access to a range of primary care services. It removes the traditional insurance-based barriers, allowing for more personalized, accessible, and patient focused care

How is DPC different from traditional primary care?

Unlike traditional practices that rely heavily on insurance billing and short appointments, DPC limits the number of patients per provider. This allows for longer visits, more attention to detail, direct communication with your provider, and truly personalized care without rushed interactions.

What services are included in my membership?

Membership typically includes:

    •    Extended office visits

    •    Annual wellness exams

    •    Hormone health evaluations and management

    •    Direct communication with your provider via phone, text, or email

    •    Basic in-office procedures and screenings

(Some labs, medications, and specialty services may have additional costs, but we offer transparent pricing.)

Do I still need health insurance?

Yes, we recommend maintaining a basic health insurance plan for services we don’t provide, such as hospitalizations, surgeries, or specialist care. Think of DPC as replacing your day-to-day primary care needs, not your entire insurance coverage.

How does direct communication work?

You’ll have direct access to your provider through phone calls, secure messaging, and emails. No more waiting days for a response or going through multiple layers of office staff — you’ll get timely answers from someone who knows you and your health history.

What if I need specialist care?

We’ll help coordinate any necessary referrals to specialists and assist in navigating those appointments. While specialists are not included in your DPC membership, we advocate on your behalf to ensure seamless and informed care.

Is DPC right for me?

If you value a strong, personal relationship with your provider, want more time during appointments, and prefer simple, transparent healthcare without the red tape of insurance companies, DPC could be a perfect fit for you.
